Shardul Lendve was born and brought up in India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in the year 2015 from the Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (India). After graduating with his bachelor's, he worked in the automobile industry as a design engineer for one year.

His endeavor to discover the field of control engineering and electronics drove him to choose Mechatronics as his Master's. He holds MSc from Hamburg University of Technology (Germany) in the year 2019. During his master’s, he chose System Design as his specialization. His master’s thesis was shortlisted for the German Renewables Award in the year 2020 within the category of student work of the year.

Subsequently in the year 2021, he started his doctoral studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. His research interests include Real-Time Systems, Autonomous Vehicles, and Energy Management.
