The work will extend currently operating test rigs that feature both simulation and physical hardware. These rigs will be used to understand and analyse real software executing on networked multicore processors featuring both traditional safety-critical software and machine learning. The two roles will involve: verification and validation and machine learning in the design and assurance of safety-critical mixed-criticality scheduled systems; and the use of statistical techniques to learn and assure network-based systems forming a Digital Twin of the system.
